You’re either part of the solution or part of the problem.

One of the more interesting issues we face in the healing arts is getting bogged down in looking at the problem. Of course, it’s a part of our job to understand all the issues, so we dig and we probe. We ask questions. We dissect the problem and all of its symptoms to try to get to the crux of the issue.

There’s a problem with this, and it complicates how we do our work. That problem is that in concentrating on a problem, your overall emotional state tends to be negative. This is especially true if you have an emotional investment, e.g., you’ve been working with a family member. The closer you are to identifying with the problem emotionally, the more likely you are to find yourself in a place of negative emotion yourself.

This won’t help you in your goal of helping a person to heal. So, what do you do?

It almost seems counterintuitive, but you must keep your eye completely focused on how you can assist rather than constantly evaluating the status of the problem. When you’re focused on providing a solution, you’re naturally in a positive emotional state. From this perspective, the work you do will be much more powerful.

This solution-based approach is actually one of the main reasons why more and more these days I don’t really delve much into what the issues are. I find that I get a LOT of mileage out of an hour-long session where I am not even aware of the particulars. In fact, some of the most profound healing sessions I’ve done were at healing expos, where people just sat down and I went quietly to work on them.

With my focus being exclusively on my client’s well-being, I don’t get distracted by minutiae that draw me away from healing and into looking at the problem and symptoms. Energy workers need to realize that they can do wonderful work with the client not ever saying a thing about their particular problems. And this is because when you don’t know the particulars, you’re offering the “solution” of universal love, infinite possibility and a knowing that all is well.

Focus on solutions. The simpler, the better. And watch your sessions become truly miraculous. Love and Light to all.
