Living Intentionally has worked with a lot of different auto-immune disorders. Whether it be rheumatoid arthritis or full-blown AIDS, I believe there is a singular commonality that is shared amongst all suffering from these disorders: inflammation.

While many don’t consider allergy work to be dealing with auto-immune disorders, I’ve come to understand the body’s allergy reactions as a response to inflammation rather than to a specific allergen. The vast majority of the time, the body’s allergic response is an overreaction to rampant inflammation in the body. Because of this, Living Intentionally takes a different approach to healing allergies than does, say, NAET.

When I work with a client who suffers from allergies, I generally find that client has a diet that is extremely high in Omega-6 fatty acids. This puts the crucial Omega-3:Omega-6 fatty-acid ratio far out of balance. Omega-6 fatty acids, while important in the body, do have the side effect of promoting inflammation. Because of this, it’s very important to have a diet that keeps the ratio of Omega-3s and Omega-6s in check.

We work with clients to effect nutritional changes first. Moving away from processed foods is of paramount importance. Most processed foods in North America contain a nightmare of Omega-6 fatty acids, high-fructose corn syrup and genetically-modified corn and/or soy. We encourage clients to cook with oils such as coconut oil and to use extra-virgin olive oil or grapeseed oil on their salads. These are wonderful oils for boosting nutrition and reducing inflammation.

In tandem with nutrition and lifestyle changes that help reduce inflammation, we use Quantum-Touch and QiGong healing in a variety of ways. First and foremost, I use a Core Transformation technique to “steam release” the entire body structure to reduce inflammation and promote the flow of energy. I use various Supercharging and QiGong techniques to bolster the body’s energy systems/stores.

Finally, using my very own techniques, I dialogue with the immune system to convince it that allergen X is really not the enemy and that it was mistakenly identifying that material as the cause of the inflammation in the body when it actually wasn’t. This last technique works incredibly well, but only after the body’s overall inflammation has been dramatically reduced. It’s important when reprogramming immune response that the immune system see a reality that doesn’t require its protection.

Reducing inflammation in the body is our first defence against having an immune system go haywire on us. Eating well, sleeping properly (the proverbial early to bed and early to rise is very important) and getting moderate exercise are all no-brainers on the intellectual scale, but few of us live the experience. It’s worthwhile looking at how you’re living to determine how you can reduce your own inflammation.

The tips laid out here for allergy work are very similar to the reprogramming we do for RH and other issues. It’s all about clearing away inflammation and then the immune system’s confusion.

If you suffer from allergies or other inflammation-related issues, we’d be happy to discuss your situation to determine how we might be able to make your life a better place. You can contact me via e-mail.
